Add A Sense of Timelessness With Picket Fencing
Are you seeking to achieve a timeless look for your property?
A picket fence will be perfect for your house!
Picket fences, like other types of ranch fencing, add an element of security to your property while standing out as a key design feature. Picket fences provide a stylish barrier around your home, while low heights and gaps between palings allow a subtle yard brag.
One of the most aesthetically versatile types of ranch fencing, picket fences can be customised to suit any home from traditional cottage to modern farmhouse. Timber remains the favourite amongst many customers due to it’s many design options and it’s ability to be stained or painted.
A visually outstanding choice for garden, paddock or perimeter fencing or custom gates for any house or professional business; picket fencing delivers security and style all in one.

FAQ
How Tall Should A Picket Fence Be?
Most picket fences are generally somewhere between 900mm – 1800mm high. Often, homes situated close to the street opt for a lower fence height. The fence must be a minimum height of 1200mm if used for pool fencing.
Do You Put A Gap Between Fence Pickets?
The gap between pickets is largely up to personal preference, though the standard spacing width is 25mm-35mm. If you’re trying to limit the street view of your yard or house, narrower spacing may be preferred.
When using timber, you should always leave at least a pencil width gap between pickets to allow for timber expansion. For security purposes and to prevent dogs from escaping, the gaps should not be bigger than 100mm.
Should Pickets Face In or Out?
There are no hard and fast rules, but most professional fencing work will have installed the smooth side of the pickets facing the street (outwards), with rail and post materials facing inwards, towards your property.
